She presented her research at the annual meetings of the Orthopaedic Research Society, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, and the International Bone and Mineral Society. She received numerous awards for academic excellence during her residency. She then completed fellowship training in arthroplasty (joint replacement) at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard, Boston, Massachusetts. She currently practices in Nashua and Manchester, New Hampshire. She is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the International Congress of Joint Reconstruction, and the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Society.
Dr. Hogan’s clinical interests include knee arthroscopy, hip and knee replacement, and complex hip and knee revision surgery. She performs hip replacements through a muscle-sparing anterior approach. She uses a multi-modal post operative pain regimen to minimize the side effects of narcotic pain medications after surgery.
The decision to have a hip or knee replacement can be a difficult one, and it is important to find a surgeon whom you trust. A joint replacement is a major surgical procedure, but it can be life altering. A new knee or hip can restore the ability to garden, to play with grandchildren, to go for walks, to travel, and to enjoy activities of daily life. Dr. Hogan will take the time to listen to your concerns about surgery and help you decide if joint replacement is the right treatment for your knee or hip arthritis.
