Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic
Dr. Jason Snibbe is a board certified, orthopedic surgeon practicing in Beverly Hills with fellowship training in Sports Medicine and Joint Replacement Surgery. He performs surgery on the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee. His practice has a special focus on hip preservation and reconstructive surgery. He specializes in hip preservation techniques using advanced arthroscopic hip surgery. He also performs minimally invasive hip and knee replacements which allow patients an accelerated recovery.
Dr. Snibbe has been a team physician for the University of Southern California since 2003. He is also an orthopedic consultant for the Los Angeles Lakers, Sparks, and Kings. Currently, he trains the fellows from Kerlan-Jobe in advanced hip arthroscopy and other sports related surgeries.
Dr. Snibbe has given numerous lectures and instructed courses around the world. He frequently has visiting surgeons nationally and internationally observe his techniques of hip preservation and reconstruction. Currently, he has clinical and basic science research interests that focus on the biomechanical changes in movement before and after arthroscopic hip surgery; the affect of platlet rich plasma in hip arthroscopy; suture anchor strength combined with labral fixation techniques; the use of the Alter-G treadmill for hip and knee surgical rehabilitation.
He attended medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed his residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center and completed a Sports Medicine fellowship at the world renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic. He completed a joint reconstruction fellowship with Dr. Brad Penenberg and additional training in hip arthroscopy under the supervision of Dr. Marc Philippon. As a fellow, he served as an assistant team physician for the Lakers, Dodgers, Angels, Kings, Mighty Ducks, LA Avengers, Galaxy, and LMU sports.
Dr. Snibbe is an active member of the International Society for Hip Arthroscopy, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and Arthroscopy Association of North America.
In his free time, he enjoys music, playing guitar, and collecting hand made, rare acoustic guitars.
