Dr. Peatman combines his expertise in nonsurgical and operative sports medicine with advanced techniques in joint replacement for degenerative hips and knees.
He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley. He earned his medical degree at the University of California, Irvine, and then completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Dr. Peatman joined the U.S. Navy during residency, and served for five years afterwards. He was stationed in Naples, Italy, Pensacola, FL, and Jacksonville, FL. He practiced general orthopedics, sports medicine and flight surgery/aviation medicine.
Dr. Peatman is skilled in knee and hip surgery, and he provides leading-edge options in joint replacement, including the anterior approach (MIS) to the hip, and Robotic complete knee and partial knee replacement. Additionally, he offers platelet-rich plasma as a nonsurgical treatment method. This entails use of a person’s blood to treat an injury.
