Dr. Hartshorn is a Harvard fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery. He has authored book chapters, published articles in the peer-reviewed literature, and has received multiple awards. Currently, Dr. Hartshorn’s personal interest lies in complex, revision procedures, but he also performs primary and minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery as well. He is conservative in nature and prefers non-surgical options as an initial step in treatment.
He is passionate about sports and was the captain of the nationally-ranked Baylor Bears NCAA Division 1 baseball team. He subsequently played 2 seasons professionally for the Fort Worth Cats of the independent Central Baseball League where he earned Rookie of the Year honors. Over the years he has served as a team physician for both college and professional sports.
