Dr. Clark has been in private practice for 15 years, practicing general orthopedic surgery. Specializations include: total joint replacement, including knee, hip, shoulder and reverse total shoulder, revision total joint replacement; hand surgery; sports medicine to include ACL/ligament repair, meniscus, rotator cuff; trauma of both upper and lower extremities; pediatric upper and lower extremity fractures.
Born and raised in Texas, Dr. Clark grew up around the San Antonio area and graduated from Seguin high school. Afterward attended Angelo State University, where he graduated summa cum laude with a degree in biology with chemistry minor. Prior to medical school he was a practicing physical therapist in San Angelo, and Lubbock, Texas, and obtained his Masters of Physical Therapy degree from University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. After two and half years of practicing Physical Therapy, Dr. Clark decided to attend medical school at Texas Tech University in Lubbock and then completed his orthopedic surgery training at Baylor Scott And White residency program in Temple Texas.
During medical school and residency, Dr. Clark was able to participate in several published research projects to include: Case Study: Stress Fracture of the Ulna in a Male Competitive Polo Player. American Journal of Sports Medicine, 2001; Abstract: Estrogen and Progesterone Levels At the Time of ACL Injury. Journal of Athletic Training-Supplement. Vol. 36, Number 2, Page S-61, April-June 2001; Clinical Poster Presentation: Tips of the Trade: Placement of Solid Screws with Cannulated Screw Precision.
For the last 15 years he has practiced general orthopedics in College Station and La Grange Texas with offices in La Grange, and satellite clinics in Bastrop, Columbus, Giddings, Schulenburg and Hallettsville.
While practicing in college station was also an associate academic and clinical instructor, and preceptor of the year award recipient for Texas A&M, medical school and biomedical engineering program. Over the last 15 years he has also participated in clinical and surgical training for physician assistant programs, nurse practitioner, and family medicine residency programs.
When not working as an Orthopedic Surgeon, he enjoys spending time with his three children and pursuing his hobbies which include riding motorcycles, bow hunting deer and elk, fly fishing, and classic cars.
