Dr. Bright graduated Valedictorian from the University of Miami College of Engineering, and then graduated in the honors program with an M.D. with Research Distinction (also from the University of Miami). He is a health and fitness advocate specializing in athletic injuries with a specialty focus on hip and knee replacement. He has been in practice in Sarasota for 20years with his partners, Dr. Brian Schofield and Dr. John Hand. He is respected by his peers both locally and nationally, and has served as Chief of Surgery of Sarasota Memorial Hospital, President of the Sarasota County Medical Society, President of the Florida Orthopedic Society, Chairman of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery Membership committee, and Board Examiner for the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He has run the Boston marathon more than a dozen times, and completed ironman races and 100 mile trail marathons. He loves practicing medicine, and volunteers regularly for the Community Clinic in Sarasota where he provides charity care to our local under-served community.
