Craig Radnay, M.D.

Craig S. Radnay, MD, MPH is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon with advanced fellowship training in foot, ankle and knee surgery. Dr. Radnay specializes in sports medicine and provides the latest advanced non-surgical treatment options to help provide the best treatment path for each patient's unique needs and individual goals. Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Dr. Radnay was born and raised in New York City and he received his BA degree at Dartmouth College. He then earned Medical and Masters of Public Health degrees from the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. Dr. Radnay completed a five-year residency in orthopaedic surgery at Columbia University Presbyterian Hospital in New York; in his final year, Dr. Radnay was appointed Chief Resident. Dr. Radnay completed a fellowship in New York with the Insall Scott Kelly Institute (ISK), specializing in sports medicine and adult reconstruction. At ISK, he was mentored by the pioneers in knee replacement and sports medicine, and trained with the physicians of the New York Knicks and New Jersey Nets NBA teams. He then completed a fellowship in Tampa, Florida, with the Florida Orthopaedic Institute, specializing in Foot & Ankle surgery and lower extremity trauma. In Tampa, Dr. Radnay gained expertise in surgical and non-operative treatment of Foot & Ankle fractures, arthritis, ankle replacement, sports medicine and arthroscopy, flatfeet, bunions, hammertoes, and diabetic foot problems. Dr. Radnay is a director of the Insall Scott Kelly Institute for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at NYU-Hospital for Joint Diseases and Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. He is also an attending physician, chief, foot and ankle service at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, New York, on Long Island. He specializes in Foot & Ankle surgery and reconstruction, lower extremity trauma and reconstruction, sports medicine, and arthritic disorders and joint replacement of the knee. Dr. Radnay is also specializing in providing stem cell therapy and PRP injections for patients and athletes with minor to moderate joint injuries, as well as those suffering from tendon pain and injuries to the knee, ankle and foot. Dr. Radnay is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopeadic Surgeons (AAOS), a member of the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS), a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA), a member of the International Congress for Joint Reconstruction (ICJR), and a member of the New York County Medical Society. Dr. Radnay has authored publications and book chapters on Foot & Ankle fracture deformity and reconstruction, bone deformity and complex knee arthroplasty, sports injuries in the knee, and the impact of foot deformity on total knee replacement. He has presented and taught at national and international meetings on topics including multiple disorders of the Foot & Ankle, lower extremity trauma and reconstruction, ankle arthritis and total ankle replacement, treatment of complex diabetic and Charcot deformity, deformity and total knee replacement, advances in fracture management, and biologics and fracture stimulation in orthopaedics. He is a clinical reviewer for the Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma (JOT) and for Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research (CORR). Dr. Radnay has been named one of the SuperDoctors in Orthopaedic Surgery in New York City since 2012.
