With nearly 30 years of experience, Vijay J. Rasquinha, MD is a board certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon, specializing in Total Joint Replacement, Revision Surgery of the Hip and Knee and Adult Reconstructive Surgery. He is the Chief of Adult Joint Reconstruction at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and an Associate Professor at Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
Dr. Rasquinha graduated from Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College in Mumbai, India, completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at King Edward Memorial University Hospital and a fellowship in adult reconstruction from Lenox Hill Hospital.
Dr. Rasquinha is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons. His clinical research interests include Development of Patient Self-Assessment Tools for Hip and Knee Arthroplasty and Optimization of Pain Control for Hip and Knee Arthroplasty.
