Dr. Adam Goldman is a fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine including open and minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, elbow, hip and knee. He also has a special interest in state of the art techniques in cartilage restoration and biologics to help improve his patients’ function and outcome.
After receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Michigan, Dr. Goldman attended medical school at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. He completed his Orthopaedic surgery residency through Franciscan Health in the Chicagoland area where he earned multiple prestigious leadership awards including Arnold P. Gold foundation humanism and excellence in teaching award and the C. McCollister Evarts resident leadership award. Following residency, he completed his Orthopaedic sports medicine fellowship training through Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Cincinnati where he trained extensively in open and arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee, complex ligament reconstruction, and an array of open shoulder procedures and revisions. During fellowship, Dr. Goldman was the assistant team physician for the Cincinnati Reds, Wittenberg University, and two local high schools.
Dr. Goldman treats sports and orthopaedic injuries for people of all ages and ability. He enjoys giving back to the community and is the team physician for several local high schools providing sideline game coverage and training room care for young athletes. Dr. Goldman treats all patients with the same high level of care, while taking into account each individual’s unique needs and goals. He participates in a team-oriented approach to patient care involving the patient, therapists, and athletic trainers. He encourages open communication along with a comfortable office atmosphere to get his patients back to the activities they enjoy.
In his free time, Dr. Goldman enjoys attending sporting events (especially University of Michigan football), golf, traveling, and spending time with his wife, daughter, and dog.
