Khalid Husain, DPM, is an enthusiastic and compassionate podiatric physician serving men, women, and children at Midwest Foot and Ankle Clinics, with three locations in Hoffman Estates, Arlington Heights, and in the Norwood Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois.
For nearly two decades, Dr. Husain has remained devoted to the field of podiatry. He’s the dedicated founder of Midwest Foot & Ankle Clinics.
Dr. Husain specializes in diabetic foot management and limb salvage. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Champaign, Illinois, and received his doctoral degree from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Husain completed extensive medical fellowship training from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio — the leading program in the country for diabetic foot medicine. He concluded his surgical residency at the Presence Saint Joseph Hospital in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, and the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago, Illinois.
Active in his field, Dr. Husain holds numerous medical leadership roles. He’s an avid researcher and lecturer, the co-medical director of the AMITA Health Alexian Brothers Medical Center Elk Grove Village in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, and the education committee chair of the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons.
Dr. Husain was previously on the board of directors for the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association, and he is a former clinical faculty member of Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and at the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center, both in North Chicago, Illinois.
Family is a priority for Dr. Husain, and he enjoys spending time with his wife Yasmeen and their three children. Born and raised in the Chicago area, Dr. Husain savors the uniqueness, beauty, and character of the city he calls home.
