Dr. Stephen J. Rogers has been a premier provider of medical and surgical care for the foot and ankle in New England for decades.
As an accomplished surgeon, he relishes the opportunity to correct complicated foot and ankle problems which many patients were previously told were unfixable. Dr Rogers expertise lies in the surgical repair of adult ankle deformities specializing in ankle joint replacement. He has been performing ankle replacements since 2010 and dedicates a large portion of his practice to this innovative and effective new approach to resolving chronic ankle arthritis and pain. Dr. Rogers is exclusive to the foot and ankle and only treats conditions involving these areas.
Dr. Rogers received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Albright College followed by his medical degree from Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. As a Suma cum laude graduate, he went on to complete an additional three years of foot and ankle surgical residency training at the graduate hospital University of Pennsylvania where he also served as chief resident. In July of 1995, Dr. Rogers moved to New England and began practicing in Pawtucket for two years before he moved to Cranston and then ultimately went on to expand his practice with partner, Dr. Robert Gallucci in the Warwick, Aquidneck Island, and Massachusetts area as they established the Foot & Ankle Institute of New England in the year 2000.
Dr. Rogers prides himself on offering patients expert care with a personal touch. He feels it is important for his patients to know that it is he and only he that they will see for all their preoperative, operative, and postoperative care. There will not be a nurse practitioner or a physician assistant who will substitute for his care and expertise at any time throughout your treatment. Dr. Rogers is your surgeon and it is he who is always treating you.
East Greenwich, Rhode Island is home for Dr. Rogers and his wife Andrea and his son Luke. When he is not in the office he enjoys traveling with his family, spending time at their lake home in Chepachet as well as also walking the family dogs, Rosey and Elsie.
