Dr. Parsons, a Cleveland native, graduated from Princeton University before receiving his medical degree from the Ohio State University College of Medicine. He performed orthopaedic training at the prestigious Tufts University Orthopaedic Residency in Boston, where he received extensive training in total joint replacement and sports medicine. He returned to Ohio State University to complete a sports medicine fellowship, where he cared for the Buckeye athletes, including the championship football and basketball teams. His fellowship training focused on arthroscopy, specifically the arthroscopic management of disorders of the shoulder and knee. He has publications in the both the areas of joint replacement and sports medicine, and he is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Parsons is the Director of Sports Medicine for the Lake Health System and is currently serving as the team physician for Willoughby South High School.
