Peter A. Sarkos, DO, FAOAO is a board certified fellowship trained orthopedic hand and microvascular surgeon, who was born and raised in southern New Jersey. After obtaining his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, he completed a specialty residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. This was followed by a fellowship at the University of Connecticut in the subspecialty of hand and microvascular surgery. His practice covers common ailments such as carpal tunnel syndrome and includes more in depth treatments like joint replacements, finger replantation, and complex reconstruction of the hand and wrist. He is an associate professor at the Rowan University School of Medicine and is the Assistant Orthopedic Residency Director of Inspira Health Network. Dr. Sarkos also in avidly involved in the community, serving as the Commissioner of the Harrison Township Fire District.
