Christopher E. Emond, M.D. joined Tri-State Orthopaedics in 2013. Dr. Emond earned his Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire where he studied Biophysical Chemistry, receiving the Elenore & Dmitry Shiraeff Scholarship for Chemistry majors. He then received his medical degree from New York Medical College (NYMC) in 2003. While there, Dr. Emond was honored with the NYMC Department of Orthopaedic Surgery Annual Achievement Award for his graduating class.
Dr. Emond then returned to his native Boston for an internship in general surgery at Boston University Medical Center. He continued his orthopaedic surgery residency training at Boston, where he served as the program's Chief Resident in 2008. After graduating from residency, Dr. Emond completed subspecialty fellowship training in Sports Medicine Surgery at the Rothman Institute at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia where he apprenticed under the team physicians for the Philadelphia Eagles, Flyers, 76ers, 2008 World Series Champion Phillies, and St. Joseph's University.
