Dr. Thomas E. Hoerner’s goal is to get people back to what they enjoy doing through appropriate and effective care. With over 30 years in orthopaedic practice in this community, Dr. Hoerner has gained national recognition in his field for both his expertise and his compassionate care.
He is committed and passionate above improving quality of life, thus his focus on reconstructive joint surgery.
“I strive to really understand each individual’s unique situation and condition in order to provide the best advice possible. Everyone is different. As a family man who has had his own medical challenges, I bring a sense of compassion to everything that I do, meeting patients where they are in the process.”
In a way, medicine and orthopaedics have always been”‘in the cards” for Dr. Hoerner. “My father was a physician, and he was active in sports medicine. He was the team doctor for my high school and played a prominent role in USA Hockey. In addition, I needed surgery for a dislocated elbow when I was 10 years old. Between these two formative experiences, I became interested in the musculoskeletal system… and in making a positive difference in the lives of others, just like my father had done.”
