Dr. Steven Zelicof has been in practice in Westchester since 1990. He is the founder of the Center for Arthritis and Total joint replacement at Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital where he also serves as chief of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He also founded Specialty Orthopaedics, PLLC, which is a multi specialty orthopaedic group focusing on the state of the art treatment of our patients. He specializes in the conservative treatment of arthritis and sports injuries. When indicated, he performs reconstructive surgery of the hip, knee, and shoulder utilizing advanced minimally invasive techniques including computer navigation.He was one of the first surgeons to perform hip resurfacing in the New York area. Dr Zelicof is the chief of the Joint Replacement Service at Westchester Medical Center. Dr. Zelicof is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at New York Medical College, and Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Weill- Cornell Medical School. He operates at Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital, Westchester Medical Center and the Hospital for Special Surgery.
